God's Provision
God provided and I was able to buy a 98 Mazda Protege. Then my dad and I drove to St. Louis. From there dad flew back to Florida, and I drove the rest of the way to Roach, MO, and the New Tribes Language Institute where I will be attending school for at least the next year.

Decisions

Proverbs 16:9 A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
At the begining of my summer I had planned to fly from Florida to Wisconsin, pick up my car, drive to Michigan to see some friends, and then down to Missouri for school. However, as with the first trip of the summer, my plans have once again changed. I have decided to skip the Wisconsin and Michigan portion of my trip and just go from here to Missouri. I do not want to try and drive that car from WI to MI to MO. It has smoked a couple more times and so I think I'll leave it in WI with Debby and Brett (my sis and her boyfriend), to either keep or sell. They are flying down here for a visit so they will be able to bring most of my stuff. When I made the decision not to go up to MI, we had heard of a station wagon that some people wanted to give to a missionary. However, they had already given it away by the time we contacted them. So, right now I am praying that God will either provide a reliable car, the money for a reliable car, or something else. I would appreciate your prayers. That's just a quick update of what has been going on lately in my life. So I'm stuck here for a couple more weeks enjoying time with my family.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

THE 4TH OF JULY IN FLORIDA
Being from the west, I have always liked rodeos. The 4th of July is normally a time when there are several rodeos. Rodeos where I'm from usually consist of barrel racing, bull riding, bareback riding, bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling, and a lot of other exciting events. So, I figured I'd try and find a rodeo down here in Florida. I looked at several event calendars for the area and finally found one. With great anticipation I arrived at the "rodeo grounds" on the 4th. The rodeo began with the longest opening ceremony I have ever seen. Then the first event was barrel racing practice. Next was womens barrel racing, baby barrel racing, preschool barrel racing, kindegarden barrel racing, 1st grade barrel racing, etc. Needless to say I did not stay for the whole thing. I guess that's a Florida "rodeo". :) However, I have heard of real rodeos down here I guess you just have to look hard and be willing to pay enough for them. I did get to enjoy a great fireworks show that night.

Finally in Florida
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you know of the adventures I have been on recently. I worked with my Church in Haines, OR for about 6 weeks after graduation. That was a very good time. About one week before that time was finished I went to Portland, to a wedding, and picked up my sister and her boyfriend. Then after one more week, we packed the car (Frank Gazerro gave me his 2 door 85' Buik, which we fondly named Izma (Emperor's New Groove)). My sis, her boyfriend and I left town, of course we had to stop at like 6 places to say goodbyes, before we made it to Boise where we stayed the night with Josh Beaudin. We headed out early the next morning, planning on getting to Greeley, CO that night. However God had other plans for us. We made it to near Rawlins, WY, and the car overheated. Well eventually we got to a Fireworks stand and the people helped us. They tried to fix the car, and we made it to Rawlins, where we got the oil changed, and then decided to try and head on instead of staying the night. We made it to about the highest place on I-80 (in the whole US) before it overheated again. So we slept for an hour and went a mile to a rest area and slept for a few more hours, until daylight. Then we drove a little while and it overheated again, allowing us to make a stop in Buford, WY population 2. We added some more water, and basically continued on to Greeley, where our dear friends the Preshaws helped us out. We got the car in a shop, and rested. To sum up the next part, we took the car out after it had been fixed, and conveniently found another problem...This happened a couple times. Our plan was to make it to Missouri and then I would ride to Florida with my family and my sis and her boyfriend would drive to WI. Well my family was leaving Missouri, so I found some airplane tickets and flew to FL. My sis (Deb) and Brett made it to WI with only one more slight scare. Praise the Lord. So, that's what I've been up to.

Graduation and Transition
I GRADUATED! Yes again... for the third time... I've graduated. On May 7th from New Tribes Mission Institute in Baker City, Oregon. It has been a very busy and fun year. I have learned a ton and made many new friendships. So, now what? Right now I am busy packing up my stuff and cleaning my room. When I finish this I will be moving to Haines, OR to live with my Pastor and his wife. I will spend the next 6 weeks or so working with my home church their in Haines. After that I have no set dates, but I want to go to Michigan to visit some friends and my Grandma, and also to Florida to spend some time with my family. Then, Lord willing I will be heading on to the New Tribes Language Institue in Missouri. I will update you more during this summer, and I will try and get some pictures up too. Bye for now.

NTMI
I'm here in Baker City, OR going through New Tribes Missions Institute. Things are going great. I'm learning lots and enjoying my time here. I'm in the last class here, as they will be selling it, and consolidating the Missions Institutes with the Language Institue in Missouri. So, we've been busy packing and cleaning things up here. They are going to have an appreciation dinner for those that have been involved with the MI, on April 8th. Since my parents were on staff here for about 16 years, I really wanted them to come. Praise the Lord, last Friday, God provided tickets for them to come out for a week. I am so excited! Spring break is this next week, so I'll be staying here and working ahead on homework so I can spend time with my parents when they are here. That's what I've been up to.
